RCCS is currently seeking a consultant who is skilled in auditing, providing education and feedback to our clients.
Responsibility includes but not limited to consulting services to our clients (such as physicians, coding professionals, hospital systems, attorneys, and billing companies etc.) Providing comprehensive documentation, coding, billing and/or compliance audits in accordance with client contract. Creating accurate well written reports summarizing audit findings and recommendations following authoritative guidelines such as CMS, CPT assistance and any other applicable internal/external policies. Presenting audit findings and recommendations in person and/or by phone. Customizing training material for client specific needs. Delivering onsite or remote educational sessions.
Ability to meet monthly financial targets and project turnaround time. Monitors government regulations & programs and presents information to the company/clients/conferences. Participates and leads client calls for consulting projects. Professional and courteous verbal and written skills are required. May train and/or QA other consultants as needed.
Candidate will have prior experience in auditing and education. Ability to work independently while meeting goals. Skill in identifying and resolving issues. Must be competent and comfortable with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience working with MS Access is preferred. Professional and Facility coding and auditing experience in various specialties preferred. Prior experience in Radiology, Cardiology, Surgery and E/M coding specialties are desired. Professional reporting and working relationship with peers, direct report and others.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Coding certification(s) required by one or more of the following bodies: AHIMA, RCCB, AAPC.
Minimum three (3) years of experience as a consultant, auditor/educator, or compliance professional in healthcare.
